MP3 Buyer Guide
Here are some tips for buying and using MP3s from the Music pages.
When you pay for your purchase, you will soon receive an email from
Lyrebird Music and Michael Johnson.
The email contains links to download each of the tracks you have
purchased. Remember to check your SPAM or JUNK folders if you can't see
the Lyrebird Music and Michael Johnson email.
Before you click on any of the links, decide which device you want to
download the tracks onto. We recommend you download the tracks onto one
of your desktop or laptop computers. They will be downloaded into your
computer's Downloads folder. After that you can sync to your other
devices to put the tracks onto your phones, tablets, ipads, etc. Just
sync the way you would normally sync your phone with your computer.
For users of Apple Products:
please make sure you download the tracks to your computer (desktop or
laptop). Apple has made it impossible to download an MP3 directly onto
your iPhone, iPod or iPad unless you purchase it through their iTunes
store. If you did try to download the MP3s onto your iPhone, iPad or
iPod you would only be streaming the MP3 from the internet, not
actually downloading it onto your device. So it would play, but you
wouldn't have it stored permanently on your device.
That's why we recommend you use your desktop or laptop first, and then
sync to whichever devices you wish after that.

wish, and the MP3s will be stored in your device's Download folder.
Use only one device to download. The links are valid for one computer
(or device) only, so the first time you click on a link in the email,
from then on, any other tracks in that purchase can only be downloaded
onto that computer (or device).
This website is run by Michael Johnson. There is no tech support department,
so if you are unsure how to sync your devices, it's probably better to buy the CDs,
rather than the MP3s.
Michael can certainly help you if there's a problem with the purchase, but he
wouldn't be able to guide you through the syncing process or solve
problems relating to moving the MP3s from one device to another.
24 hour time limit:
The links are only valid for 24 hours after your
purchase, so please download the MP3s immediately.
From time to time the internet is sluggish, so if you receive an
internet error message, please wait for an hour or so, and try again to
download your MP3s.
On your computer, when you click on your download
link in the email, it will open your internet browser. The browser will
remain an empty screen - don't panic. The MP3 is being downloaded into
your Download folder.

Do I need to have a
PayPal account to purchase items on the music pages?
No. You don't need a PayPal account to shop at Michael Johnson's music
If you don't have a PayPal account you can pay with your credit card.
The PayPal system can process a credit card payment for you. When you
have finished shopping, and you are on the Shopping Cart page,
you'll see these choices. Click on "Check Out" and it will take you to
the next step.
"Don't have a PayPal account?"
You will be taken to a secure page (still on the PayPal system) where
you can pay with your credit card.
If you have a PayPal account, choose the Check out with PayPal button
and continue your purchase.
Can I forward the email
containing the MP3 links to my friends?
No, the download links are valid for one person only. This is to make
sure that the artists are able to earn an income from their music, and
keep creating more for you.
Can I forward the email
containing the MP3 links to one of my other
computers? (eg laptop)
No, the download links are valid for one device only. After you
download the M3s to one computer (or device), you can sync to your
other devices. As many as you wish, there's no restriction on the
number of devices you can store and play your MP3s on.
When I clicked
on the link, there was an error message, what should I do?
Try again in an hour or so, your server was probably busy.
How long are the links
You must download your MP3s via the emailed links within 24 hours of
the email being sent to you.
After that, the links will expire.
Can I download the MP3s
directly to my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad,
No, Apple devices prevent you from storing downloaded MP3s from sites
other than iTunes, so you'll need to download the MP3s to your computer
first. They will be stored in the Download folder. Then you can sync
them to your Apple devices, through iTunes.
Can I download the MP3s

I missed the 24 hour
download time, how can I get my MP3s?
Please download the MP3s within 24 hours of receiving the email. If
you've experienced a technical difficulty and the links expire, please
contact us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll assist you.
What difference does it
make where I buy the MP3s from?
Buying the MP3s from the music pages means 100% of the profit from
the sale goes to the artists.
By shopping on the Michael Johnson's music pages, you
are supporting the artists.
I can't find my MP3 after

What is the difference

There's no difference. Some people just prefer to write it with capital
